Multicultural, feminist, psychoanalytic therapy for individuals and couples
Chelsea Deklotz, MSEd, LPCC
(she/her/hers)
I identify as a white, queer, cisgender woman and parent. I have particular training and lived experience in queer and interracial relationships, parenting, and social justice issues. With continued education on cultural humility and responsiveness, I aim to practice from an anti-racist/anti-oppressive and body-neutral lens. I became a therapist after being in a similar position that you find yourself in right now and have an endless passion for healing cycles of intergenerational trauma.
EDUCATION
I hold an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College and BFA in Graphic Design and Fine Art Photography from UW-Milwaukee. I completed my supervised training in New York City and Minneapolis. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota (MN Board of Behavioral Health license #3319) and have completed the two year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program post-grad certificate through the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society & Institute (MPSI). In the fall of 2024, I will be entering the one year Integrative Psychoanalytic Couple Therapy post-grad certificate program through The Institute for Clinical Social Work (ICSW). I also provide individual and group supervision for pre-licensed therapists through Vibrant Life Therapy.
