Insurance (in-network)
I am currently in-network with the following major insurance providers:
- Aetna
- Oscar
- UnitedHealthCare (commercial plans)

Insurance (out-of-network)
If you would like to request reimbursement for our therapy sessions from an insurance plan that I am not in contract with, I am happy to submit claims on your behalf (often referred to as a “superbill”). I am usually limited by insurance companies in discussing client policies but I will do everything I can to help you navigate this system.
I am able to accept HSA/FSA funds for out-of-network insurance payments and encourage you to contact your insurance to learn what your plan offers for out-of-network behavioral health coverage.
A note on diagnosing and issues navigating insurance
The United States’ healthcare system functions by using sets of clinical criteria and codes to determine diagnoses and regulate courses of treatment. A diagnosis based on these predetermined symptoms is required to gain coverage for behavioral health treatment, which often excludes many whom an insurance company deems not struggling “enough” to need therapy. Insurance may determine the number and/or length of sessions one qualifies for and reserves the right to reject claims weeks or months after their occurrence. This system often removes client autonomy and devalues providers. Please note that while I will be required to assign you a diagnosis in order to qualify for coverage through your insurance company, I welcome further dialogue about these implications in session.
While I am currently in-network with a few insurance companies, this is subject to change. By not utilizing insurance, I am able to provide consistent and effective treatment without third-party involvement and your health information stays confidential.
